Learn to Swing with the HILO HEP CATS!

New Classes:  Mondays  Sept. 13 - Oct. 18, 2010

Island Dance Academy, 27 Haili Street, Hilo (across from Palace Theatre.)

Beginning Lindy Hop, 6-7 p.m.

Learn the Lindy Hop, the original swing dance style!  You’ll learn 8-count footwork and the “swingout,” Lindy’s iconic move, as well as turns and variations.  No experience necessary, though it may be helpful to have danced 6-count swing (jitterbug or East Coast styles.)

Intermediate Lindy, 7-8 p.m.  

For dancers who have mastered the swingout, we cover additional moves and styling, focusing on connection, communication and musicality.

No partner necessary.  Each class is $45 for a 6-week session, or  $35 per session if you register for both.  $10 drop-in per night per class.  Register a new student (who has never registered for a Hep Cats class before) at full price for one session, and get a session for yourself at half price!

We rely on your  fees to pay the rent--so if you do pay the discounted price for an entire session, we regret that we cannot refund your money for missed classes.  We do have a drop-in option if you're not sure you can commit.
